Let's face it, dining hall food just isn't that good. There were many days I looked down at my plate and thought, "how could they possibly f#!k up a piece of grilled chicken so badly?!". To this day, I'm still not sure. Over the last two years I figured out the in's & out's of dining hall food, what to vs what not to eat, and how to make my own meals in my room. While there were always people who thought it was silly, crazy or "extra" let's just say I wasn't the one living off steamed rice, pizza and bagels freshman year.
As more and more dining halls across the country are being converted to take out only situations, dorm "cooking" is going to be more popular than ever. To save you lots of time and "trial and error" situations here are some of my go-to's for dorm cooking.
While there are tons of amazing other appliances out there and gadgets I could tell you to try these are what helped me most the last few years.
