One compliment I often receive is that I’m always prepared. It’s rare that I am in a situation where I need something and don’t have it. So I thought I would share what I always keep in my bag to help all of you!
There are two categories of things I keep in my bag: the universal essentials (phone, wallet & keys) and then there are my essentials (chapstick, hand cream etc.). Here is a full list of my essentials: 1. Chapstick & Lipstick For me it’s absolutely necessary to have chapstick and lipstick. I believe they do different jobs. Chapstick keeps my lips moisturized while llipstick adds a little color. If you’re a lipgloss kinda person feel free to swap that lipstick out for a gloss. 2. Hand Cream Oh. My. Gosh. Dry hands are the absolute worst! Whether it’s the middle of summer or the middle of winter I always keep hand cream with me. I am an avid hand-washer and because of this my hands dry out easily, especially when the temperature drops. 3. Jao Hand Spray This may be the most important thing to keep on hand. If I could only have one thing with me, it would be Jao Hand Spray. It can be used as hand sanitizer, to dry out pimples and if you’re really in a bind deodorant. What could be more helpful?! Plus...it smells SOOO clean and yummy!! 3. Advil & Tylenol While some of my friends make fun of me and call me a traveling pharmacy they’re always thankful. I keep tylenol and advil on hand, as well as a few other things. You never know when a headache or cramp will come about so keep it with you at all times. 4. Pens You’re probably wondering why I keep a pen or two in my bag. Here’s why...you’ll need one when you least expect it. Whether it’s to jot down a phone number or fill out a form, you will automatically seem a lot more organized. It won’t take up much spaces and weighs nothing...so just trust me on this one. 5. Tissues We’ve all been in the situation when you have to go to the bathroom so badly you just run into the first empty stall and forget to check the toilet paper. It may be one of the worst relizations ever, but if you have tissues in your bag you’re not out of luck. Maybe you’ll use it for your nose or save yourself the next time you’re in a bathroom with no toilet paper. 6. Mints Bad breath is a no! I always keep mints in my bag to stay minty fresh. 7. Hair Ties, Bobby Pins & Clips Anyone with long hair knows what it’s like to be stuck without a hair tie, especially on a hot day. I always keep a few in my bag as well as bobby pins and a clip or two. You never know when you’re day out will transition into an impromptu night out and need a new hairstyle ASAP! So, next time you’re out and someone asks for a pen, tissue or advil you’ll be their go-to! XOX, Sophie Paige
